FAQs
Being one of their most significant expenditures people always have a number of questions before coming to a conclusion , listed here are a few of the most common ones…
Unless you’re a properly trained roofing professional, most roofing jobs really should not be undertaken yourself. In addition bear in mind that a lot of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof will not warranty those items unless a certified professional performs the work. Something else to always remember is that working on a roof may be very hazardous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health for you to save money?
It would be great if we could give you a simple answer to that question! But there actually is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are a lot of unique products readily available and each and every one has its own advantages and faults. To know which is the best roof for your home, you ought to have a professional come and examine your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they find, the type of roof you have, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends upon the type of roof you have and exactly what evaluations are required. Also, remember that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we just can’t work on particular days then this will definitely add time to the job. A smaller home might take about a week or so, while much larger industrial projects can be anything from several weeks to a few months. Just see to it your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Since your roof is continuously subjected to the outside elements, this means your roof is going to break down over time. The pace at which it degrades will depend on a variety of variables. These include; the quality of the original materials that were used as well as the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is taken care of and the design of the roof. Most roofing companies will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be promised as a result of the above variables. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of taking off any protective minerals that have been added to give cover from the elements. Additionally, you really should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they could also diminish the life-span of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will eliminate the aesthetically displeasing algae and staining without destroying the tile or shingles.

More About Clarksville, IN
Clarksville is a town in Clark County, Indiana, United States, along the Ohio River and is a part of the Louisville Metropolitan area. The population was 21,724 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1783 by early resident George Rogers Clark[6] at the only seasonal rapids on the entire Ohio River, it is the oldest American town in the former Northwest Territory. The town is home to the Colgate clock, one of the largest clocks in the world and the Falls of the Ohio State Park, home to the world’s largest exposed Devonian period fossil bed.
The site that would become Clarksville was first used as a base of operations by George Rogers Clark during the American Revolution. In 1778 he established a post on an island at the head of the Falls of the Ohio, from which he trained his 175-man regiment for the defense to the west. After the war, Clark was granted a tract of 150,000 acres (610 km2) for his services in the war. In 1783, 1,000 acres (4 km2) were set aside for the development of a town, Clarksville. The same year a stockade was built and settlement began.[7]
Some roof leaks are difficult to locate. In some cases the water appears at a ceiling area distant from the leakage. If your ceiling has a plastic vapor barrier in between the drywall and the attic insulation, push the insulation aside and try to find circulation stains on the plastic. Typically water runs to openings in the vapor barrier, such as at ceiling lighting fixture.

Moisture that escapes into the cold attic from the rooms below often condenses on cold nails. Often you can find this if you climb into your attic on a cold night. The nails will look white since they’re frosted. When the attic warms up a bit throughout the day, the frost melts and drips, then the nails frost up in the evening once again and so on.
