FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Being one of their largest expenditures people always have a lotof questions prior to coming to a conclusion , below are some of the most commonplace ones…
Unless you’re a properly trained contractor, most roofing tasks should never be performed yourself. Additionally bear in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor performs the job. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof could be very dangerous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health in order to save money?
It would be really good if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to this question! But there really is no one answer fits all for every question like that. There are a lot of unique products available and each will have its own advantages and faults. To determine which is the right roof for you, you ought to have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they discover, the type of roof you have, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.
It really depends upon the type of roof and exactly what surveys are required. Also, remember that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we cannot work on certain days then this will add time to the job. A small home could take about a week or so, while more substantial industrial jobs might be anything from several weeks to a few months. Just make certain your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Because your roof is constantly exposed to the weather, it means your roof is will degrade gradually. The speed at which it deteriorates will depend upon a range of factors. Those include; the grade of the original components that were used as well as the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is maintained and the type of roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be promised because of the above factors. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any protective minerals that have been added to provide shielding from the weather. Also, you really should stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they may also reduce the life-span of your roof. When you talk to your roof cleaning professional, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will eliminate the aesthetically displeasing algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

More About Clarksville, IN
Clarksville is a town in Clark County, Indiana, United States, along the Ohio River and is a part of the Louisville Metropolitan area. The population was 21,724 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1783 by early resident George Rogers Clark[6] at the only seasonal rapids on the entire Ohio River, it is the oldest American town in the former Northwest Territory. The town is home to the Colgate clock, one of the largest clocks in the world and the Falls of the Ohio State Park, home to the world’s largest exposed Devonian period fossil bed.
The site that would become Clarksville was first used as a base of operations by George Rogers Clark during the American Revolution. In 1778 he established a post on an island at the head of the Falls of the Ohio, from which he trained his 175-man regiment for the defense to the west. After the war, Clark was granted a tract of 150,000 acres (610 km2) for his services in the war. In 1783, 1,000 acres (4 km2) were set aside for the development of a town, Clarksville. The same year a stockade was built and settlement began.[7]
Some roofing system leaks are difficult to find. Sometimes the water reveals up at a ceiling area remote from the leakage. If your ceiling has a plastic vapor barrier in between the drywall and the attic insulation, push the insulation aside and try to find circulation spots on the plastic. Frequently water goes to openings in the vapor barrier, such as at ceiling light.

Moisture that escapes into the cold attic from the spaces below often condenses on cold nails. Sometimes you can identify this if you climb into your attic on a cold night. The nails will look white since they’re frosted. When the attic warms up a bit throughout the day, the frost melts and drips, then the nails frost up during the night again and so on.

To fix a roofing or not, that is the concern. In fact, the concern is based on whether the cost deserves doing it now, or waiting a while. In which case, it is more like a gamble.
