FAQs
As one of their largest financial investments people typically have a bunch of questions before makingany decisions , below are a number of the more commonplace ones…
Unless you are a certified contractor, most roofing work should never be undertaken yourself. In addition keep in mind that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those products unless a licensed professional performs the work. Something else to keep in mind is that working on a roof can be very hazardous, so is it really worth endangering your health in order to save money?
It would be great if we could give you a simple answer to this question! But there actually is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are many unique products readily available and each will have its own benefits and faults. To determine which is the best roof for your home, you really should have a professional come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they find, the type of roof you have, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.
It definitely is dependent on the type of roof you have and exactly what evaluations are needed. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on a number of days then this will certainly add time to the task. A smaller home might take about a week or so, while much larger commercial jobs can be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.
Due to the fact that your roof is continually exposed to the weather, this means your roof is will degrade gradually. The pace at which it breaks down will be dependent on a number of factors. Those include; the quality of the initial components used as well as the workmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the type of roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but obviously that can never be promised due to the above factors. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.
You should never pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of getting rid of any covering minerals that have been included to provide protection from the weather. Additionally, you should stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they could also diminish the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will remove the unpleasant algae and staining without damaging the tile or shingles.

Find out more Consider the roofing system as the house’s first line of defense against all the weather elements. Naturally, in time the roof begins to damage from continued weather battering. A structurally sound roofing does not crumble all at once however instead breaks down piece by piece along its weak lines. Roofing system evaluations detect these vulnerable points early prior to they spread out and cause serious damage to part or the entire roof.
Roofing evaluations at regular periods root out roofing system issues before they can even manifest themselves; extending the lifespan of your roof. Many house owners only focus on their roofing systems when there is obvious damage, such as leakages and structural failure. Reality is, with routine inspection such problems are usually evaded.

Roofing system evaluations conserve you both cash and time and are one of one of the most standard roofing maintenance practices. There are a number of elements that can trigger a roofing’s condition to degrade with time. These are the effects house owners are least knowledgeable about because the signs are subtle and require time to show.: Weather components are the primary reason for roof damage.
The weather condition slowly corrodes and erodes the roofing material, and put stress onto the roofing structure. Poor or lack of roofing upkeep practices such as cleansing, painting, mold elimination and snow scraping add to the wearing down of the roof. Not all roofing experts are as great as promoted. Due to absence of skill or simply neglect, a roofing is improperly installed, impacting its efficiency as a roofing system and its strength to damage.
