When you click “PRINT” at the build plate screen, if your object’s dimensions significantly exceed the dimensions of the build plate, or if your object is positioned significantly off of the build plate (for instance, below the build plate, or crossing through the build plate), then rather than submitting your object immediately to the printer, instead the Polar Cloud will pop-up a warning screen; see, for instance, Figure 10.26 (which would result from clicking “PRINT” at the build plate screen with an oversized object such as shown in Figure 14.6).
Normally upon receiving such a warning, you should click the “CANCEL” button to return to the build plate screen where you can re-adjust your object’s “PLACEMENT” to better position it upon the build plate.
However, you may click “CONFIRM” to proceed with submitting the object to the printer, as the Polar Cloud does not absolutely prevent you from attempting to print an object with questionable dimensions or locations. Proceeding with printing in such cases should be performed with caution: it is intended for special situations such as site modification of the build plate platform, or initiation of partial prints that will be interrupted prior to exceeding build plate dimensions, or beginning printing “on top” of some previously printed object which remains on the build plate.
