If you had the Polar Cloud create your class group based on a Google Classroom class, then your students can use the Google accounts they use with Google Classroom; skip ahead to Section 8.10.
Your students will each need to make a Polar Cloud account. This is quite simple – consider your own experience making a Polar Cloud account – but you may wish to either give them a hand-out, or “walk them through” in class.
Note that if students do not set a “Display Name” for their Polar Cloud account, their first and last names will be used. Your school may have a policy influencing choice of display name; or for other general reasons you may wish to discuss parameters for setting an “appropriate” display name with your students.
