We will take a relaxing 25-minute boat ride out to Shell Island from Historic Grand Lagoon. Be on the lookout to see dolphins and other sea mammals in their natural habitats as we travel. Once we reach the Gulf of Mexico, we will anchor there. Shell Island is where you can snorkel and see the underwater world. You can also learn about the local sea-life or just relax and enjoy the sun while you soak in the sun. To search for shells in the shallow water, you can also go to Shell Island. After exploring Shell Island, we'll take a ride out into the Gulf of Mexico to see dolphins and other sights.
Panama City Beach tourists will enjoy a dolphin cruise. Waverunners are available for those who want to experience something more thrilling. Want to book a private tour for your group? Our private charter options allow customers to add additional time to their private dolphin tour (starting at 2 or 3 hours) to add additional activities (ex: additional snorkeling location, more island time, etc.). Boats can accommodate 6 passengers per boat. Your designated captain will instruct you on how to get in the water and see the dolphins in their natural habitat. Under the Marine Mammal Protection Act, swimming with spinner dolphins at rest could be considered "harassment." This Act prohibits any act that could disrupt the behavior of a marine mammal by causing torment, harassment, or other nuisances.
Dolphins don't swim with people, "kiss", or tow people in the water because it is fun. They do this because they have to. These are not natural behaviors and all captive dolphins are trained to perform them correctly. If they don't, they won't eat.
Although seawater acts as a disinfectant, it is possible for disease to be transmitted by wild dolphins. These diseases can pose serious threats to dolphins' health and human health. Finally, swimming with dolphins can be considered harassment. You do not want a penalty.
