Dolphin Tours & Snorkel Tours to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico are always unforgettable. For a memorable experience, we'll take you to the Island and bring you up close to the dolphins. The island is a great place to snorkel and explore shelling.
Panama City dolphin tours and Shell Island trips with Panama City Beach Snorkeling & Dolphin Tours LLC are small, private charters, for a maximum of 12 guests (no more than 6 per boat). This not only allows for a much more intimate and interactive experience but also a safer trip since you won�t be sharing the boat with anyone outside your party.
We'll get you in the sea before the dolphins arrive. The dolphins will be more likely to swim towards us than away, this way. Panama City Beach Snorkeling & Dolphin Tours LLC can only carry 6 people (children included). With our snorkel gear on, we can quickly get you into the water without causing any splashing or disruptions. We also don't have to worry about the dolphins being scared away by large groups. There are 5 boats that can be used for larger groups. Maximum 6 people per boat. For up to 15 persons, we also offer a Large Family Dolphin.
We will depart into Historic Grand Lagoon for a 25-minute relaxing cruise out to our snorkel area, Shell Island! Along the way, be on the lookout for dolphins and other sea animals in their natural habitat. When we arrive, we will anchor in the Gulf of Mexico or along Shell Island where you can snorkel for seashells and catch a glimpse of the underwater world, learn about local sea-life, or just relax and float while you take in the sun. You can also wade through the shallow water onto Shell Island to hunt for shells. After we have spent some time at Shell Island, we will end the trip with a ride out to the Gulf of Mexico to search for dolphins and sight-see along the way.
Our guides have spent many years studying dolphin behavior and are skilled at finding them and instructing guests how to get into the water to observe them in their natural environment. Your captain will also snorkel with you, showing you starfish, pufferfish and welch conchs.
Our friendly, local captains have decades of experience on these waters and a wealth of knowledge about the area�s dolphins, manatees, and other marine life. They are always happy to customize your trip and love showing you the natural beauty of this unique place.

After many years of watching dolphins in their natural habitats, our guides are well-versed in locating them and instructing our guests how to safely enter the water. You will be accompanied by your captain to snorkel alongside starfish, pufferfishes, welch cones, sanddollars and other sea creatures.

Species we frequently see include a variety of starfish, sand dollars, bay scallops, whelks, conchs up to 21� long, seahorses, urchins, and hermit crabs and other crab species. These animals can be brought to the surface, handled carefully, and photographed. We bring large containers so that even non-snorkelers can observe them up close before they�re released back into the bay. Shells found without living creatures can be taken home.

If conditions allow, guests are welcome to get in the water when dolphins are nearby. Safety is always our first priority, and your captain will instruct you how to safely snorkel around marine mammals.

We practice what we call �passive observation,� which means � in simple terms � that we let the dolphins come to us. Our dolphins in St. Andrews Bay are extraordinarily playful and interactive, though, and our guests frequently have amazing encounters they�ll remember the rest of their lives.

Is it worth going to Shell Island?

It is worth the effort once you reach it. This is some of my favorite water spots. It's almost like swimming in a pool. We were unsure what to expect so we decided to spend some time on the island. Expect to spend the whole day there!

Laguna Beach, Common Dolphin's Playground. Common dolphins are so much of a fun thing, they should also be called extraordinary. They are the most abundant of flipper friends found off Laguna Beach. More than 400,000 dolphins can be found off the Southern California coast.

Why do dolphins jump in the air?

Dolphins do not have gills like fish. Dolphins must breathe oxygen from the air, but they also need to remain in the water. The dolphin can stay in the water while taking in oxygen by jumping out of it. To have fun, increase visibility, remove parasites and improve navigation, dolphins leap out of the water.
