Our pal Ryan Jones over at Guyism.com had a pretty important date today. Today was the day he was to meet what could possibly have been his future wife, Kate Upton.
He planned on being a gentlemen and starting off slow, but all these plans came to a screeching halt when he slowly began to realize the unthinkable: Kate Upton was late.
Then, an even bigger revelation hit him: Kate Upton was standing him up.
I spoke with Ryan after the incident, but he didn't seem to need consoling. In fact, he was even more confident than ever. It's time for Kate Upton to decide what's more important to her and make a decision.

Sal Basile: So how did you build up the courage to ask out a girl like Katie Upton?
Ryan Jones: Well, she’s obviously very intimidating just with her height alone. It does take a lot of courage the way that I did it, by way of twitter. I mean, this is a new era in dating, and twitter to me is kind of like the balcony from Romeo and Juliet. But you still have to have the poetry to back it up, and so I tried to make it as enticing as possible for her. That’s why I made the offer of, “Let’s meet up. One Burger. Two Straws.” I don’t know how any girl could resist that.
SB: I know, I couldn’t believe she didn’t show up. Do you have any prior experiences dealing with celebrities?
RJ: I have a lot of experience dealing with Celebrities from a distance; you know binoculars, listening devices, and those kinds of things. But this is actually the first time I've been able to get passed the security and get up close and personal and touch them. And touching, it feels even better than you would imagine when you’re alone in your bedroom at night, listening to Enya.
SB: Why did you pick Madison Square Park? For the Sobe event?
RJ: That’s where she was, and I like to try to make things as convenient as possible for the people that I’m pursuing. I knew she was going to be there for that event. So I figured hey, I’ll hop over, have a burger and a shake and see where that takes us. In my experience, a burger and shake is a prelude to great things in most situations.
SB: Have her actions changed your feelings for her at all?
RJ: You know, I’m actually surprised. Having been around her, my admiration for her is at a new level that I never thought was possible. It reaches even higher than her height I would say, somewhere beyond the heavens.
SB: Would you take her back?
RJ: Oh yeah, definitely. The way things have been going after being stood up, I think that there’s a very good future for Kate Upton and myself, and only time will tell. I think in 200 years from now people are going to be reading the story and seeing this video and just marveling just like they do with all the great love stories. I’m pretty excited to be here on the ground floor.
SB: The way I see it, the ball is totally in her court now.
RJ: Oh absolutely, and she’s very tall, so she can probably shoot that ball right into the hoop.
