Undoubtedly one of Parks and Recreation's most surprising and hilarious moments arrived in season three finale "Li'l Sebastian," when Ron Swanson's first wife "Tammy One" unexpectedly showed up in his office, scaring the bejeezus out the already-terrifying Tammy Two. We never saw the character's face of course, but what actress could fill such an undoubtedly unnerving role?
Well, how about Oprah Winfrey? She's pretty terrifying.
At least, thats what Parks and Recreation star Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson) would like to see happen. In an interview with The Huffington Post, Offerman, whose real-life spouse Megan Mullally plays the dreaded Tammy Two, revealed that a grassroots Facebook campaign was already underway to bring the iconic talk-show host to the NBC sitcom.
30 Rock fans will remember that Oprah once appeared in a fourth season episode, albeit in hallucination. Now that Oprah's show has run its course, could we be seeing her return to NBC when Parks and Recreation returns this fall? Says Offerman,
"I think Oprah would be the only, she's the only person we can think of that might be intimidating to Megan Mullally...I actually think it would be amazing because Oprah is such an amazing actor and I’m sure she could play someone who is really scary. Who knows, it could be a fun turn now that she’s got time on her hands.”
Offerman isn't the only one in support of the campaign, as fellow Parks star Aziz Ansari re-tweeted the Huffington Post's story to spread interest.
Well, what say you? Do you find Oprah terrifying enough to take on the terrible Tammy Two? Or would you rather someone less well-known, and easier to bring back on a regular basis? Park your thoughts in the comments section below!
