If there's one thing that True Blood fans can expect from the highly-anticipated upcoming season - along with stomach-turning gore, borderline-porn sex scenes, and, according to Rutina Wesley (who plays "Tara Thorton"), "A lot of action" (via Gather) - it's a slew of new characters.
HBO may be the first to admit that "waiting sucks" (at least according to their marketing campaign for the upcoming season), but it's not like they haven't given fans plenty of teasers to keep them satisfied. MTV's Hollywood Crush blog has a visual rundown of the newest additions to the True Blood family, most notably a first look at shape-shifting Sam Merlotte's brother, Tommy Mickens (played by Marshall Allman), who Fangbangers only got a glimpse of in a "Waiting Sucks" trailer.
Likewise, since we met Sophie-Anne LeClerq (Evan Rachel Wood) - the Vampire Queen of Louisiana - last season, we'll also meet a Vampire King in season three - namely, Russell Edgington (Denis O'Hare) and his "intensely beautiful" boyfriend, Talbot (Theo Alexander).
There's also Franklin Mott (James Frain), described as a "crude vampire with a taste for Tara Thorton," who also made his debut in a recent "Waiting Sucks" teaser.
