Season 2 of the modern vampire drama, True Blood, premiers on Monday, June 14 at 9pm Eastern on HBO. Have you gotten caught up in all the off-season rumors and news? Fear not, or fear a lot, we've got you covered.
Confirmed:
- Updated: Ryan Kwantesays that “There will be [a reunion between the Stackhouse siblings] and quite an electric one, too, where we gang up for the greater good."
- Uber-vamp, Godric (Allan Hyde), whom Sookie and Co. have come to Dallas to find, will finally show his undead face in the July 19th episode, "Never Let me Go."
- Valerie Cruz tells us she will play another Dallas vamp, Isabella Beaumont, in upcoming
episodes. Along with several other "Living Dead in Dallas" (the book)
characters.
- Before any investigation can be conducted, Eric the older vampire
summons Bill and Sookie and sends them to Dallas to investigate another
vamp problem.
- In Dallas, we're introduced to the anti-vamp group, The Fellowship of the Sun, who subsequently schedules Sookie for execution. Gulp! (TV Guide)
- Sookie and Bill stay in a vampire hotel in Big D, where you can order humans like room service.
- Evan Rachel Wood will play a 500-year old "Vampire Queen." Michael Ausiello from EW.com says that Wood is signed for two seasons and describes the French vampy as "charming, wily, ruthless and wise. She's a consummate diplomat who has (or had) many of history's most famous people on speed dial."
- Evan Rachel Wood on her sapphic-character: "Sophie is half Patrick Bateman, half Paris Hilton. She loves to tell people what to do—like, she could tell Bill to go play Yahtzee or something—but she's not going to sleep with him, because she likes the ladies."
- There are three orgies, all of them powered by Maryann's (Michelle Forbes) aphrodisiac fairy dust.
Rumored:
- The whole season will only take place over two weeks from start to
finish, to expect the action to be fast-paced and a little crazy!
- TV Guide's editor, Mickey O'Connor says that a minor character's drinking problem returns.
- Sookie's wayward brother, judging by the religious symbolism many of his preview images, becomes involved with the nefarious Fellowship of the Sun.
- Merlotte's has a new waitress (Ashley Jones) who has a secret past (natch) and the clue can be found somewhere on her skin.
- Eric will try to get inbetween Sookie and Bill this season.
- Season 2's first casualty is related to Tara, but in an unexpected
way. The significance of said death will not be apparent, but just
wait!
