True Blood: King Russell to Come Down Off His High Horse?

What's ahead for the Mississippi's vampire royalty?

It may appear that the Mississippi king of the vamps, Russell Edgington has a lock on the southern vampire scene but according to a recent interview with E! Online's Kristin Dos Santos, those in high places are due to fall the hardest.

"Russell steps up to defend the Earth because he feels like humans abdicate it. He wants them to step back, and vampires will run things because they'll do a little better," said O'Hare.  But it appears his highness may overstep his bounds.  By the end of O'Hare's story arc this season, things look bleak for the king.

"I'm wearing a trench coat and flip flops and I'm much bloodier. I've fallen from grace. It's a big character arch, where I end up going through a lot of pain and a lot of blood shed," O'Hare revealed.

Of course, this news comes as no surpise.  Anyone or thing that tries to come between Bill Compton and his little human waitress girlfriend is usually a goner.  Right, Maryann?
