Good news, everybody!  The man in black has nabbed his latest role playing...a man in black!  Huzzah!

Actor Titus Welliver, most recently known as the human incarnation of LOST's final season antagonist smoke monster, and perhaps best as Silas Adams of Deadwood, has joined the cast of The CW's latest supernatural pilot, the zombie drama Awakening.

Awakening follows the story of two sisters (Lights Out's Meredith Hagner and Robin Hood's Lucy Griffiths) who face off against the backdrop of a zombie uprising.  The series also stars actor Brian Hallisay.

According to TVLine, Welliver will portray "a mysterious figure with piercing eyes and a dark overcoat who is hunting the zombies behind the first wave of the awakening."

No word yet if the character will have the ability to burst into smoke and exacerbate viewer confusion over the plot.

We're silently optimistic, though

You can currently catch Titus opposite Christopher Noth in The Good Wife, but what say you?  Are you ready for more brain-munching zombie action this fall on the CW, or do your allegiances lie with The Walking Dead

Make your best moan below!
