Tim and Eric's Best Skits

Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! was undoubtedly one of the funniest, most original shows to ever air on television. In case you missed out on the show’s five-season run, we’ve selected Tim and Eric's best skits for your viewing pleasure.

When Bob Odenkirk discovered Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, he asked the two budding comedians what comedy scene they were a part of. Their answer: none. This wasn't a boast on their part—it was the absolute truth. The Philadelphia natives developed their comedy on their own, creating their own strange world of awkward edits, strange characters and so-disturbing-it's-funny skits.

Even today, seven years after the debut of their Adult Swim animated series, Tom Goes to the Mayor, the duo is still in a league of their own. After they stepped in front of the camera, for their live-action series Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Tim and Eric quickly became cult-heroes and alt-comedy icons—titles they still hold to this day.

To hold you over until the release of Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie, we've selected the best bits from Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! Read on for Tim and Eric's best skits.

Spagett!

Tim and Eric seem to have a fascination with spaghetti. It was featured prominently on an episode of Tom Goes to the Mayor ("Spagett-ah!"), it's James Quall's favorite dish and then, of course, there's Spagett—everyone's favorite professional "spooker." Like Dr. Steve Brule, Spagett is one of Awesome Show's breakout characters, as he's weird enough to appease hardcore fans and broad enough to give your mother a chuckle.

Dr. Steve Brule Wine Tasting

Jan and Wayne Skylar are classic Tim and Eric characters, dating back to Tom Goes to the Mayor. While they're hilarious on their own, their interactions with Dr. Steve Brule (John C. Reilly) is a comedic dream come true. The best example of this is the Dr. Steve Brule Wine Tasting sketch. Not only is it funny, it's quite educational. Did you know wine was invented by the Romans for orgies or that pinot noire is pronounded "peanut nore"? Neither did we.

Here She Comes

"Weird Al" Yankovic's bizarre facial expressions, wild hair and manic stare made him a perfect fit among Tim and Eric's band of misfits. While Yankovic usually plays Uncle Muscles (a host of a cable access variety show), in "Here She Comes" he stars as a man who walks old women down an aisle for no particular reason. As Tim and Eric have proven, it doesn't have to make sense to be funny. "Here She Comes" is no exception.

Tim and Eric Reunite

Tim and Eric are the masters of concept episodes ("Jim and Derrick," "Muscles for Bones"). One of their best is "Anniversary," and episode taking place during Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! 50th anniversary. At this point in time, Tim and Eric are no longer on speaking terms (due to a horrific stairway-related accident), Tim has turned into a bitter old man and Eric has switched genders. In the clip above, the crowd convinces the duo to set aside their differences in the name of comedy. Thankfully, they oblige.

The Pig Man

On season 4's "Tommy" episode, Tommy Wiseau (director of the wonderfully awful The Room) guest stars as himself—directing the boys in a fictional film called The Pig Man. Being the control freak that he is, Tommy kicks Tim and Eric off the set and decides to act in it himself, alongside an actress he believes to be Jessica Alba.
