It may feature a world overrun by the undead, but production on The Walking Dead is anything but shambling along.

Details are a bit scarce, but over at Sneak Peek, word is the made for TV adaptation of Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard's The Walking Dead is set to begin production on May 15. Recently picked up by AMC (known for their award-winning series Mad Men and Breaking Bad), the series follows Rick Grimes and a small band of survivors in the months after a zombie apocalypse wiped out a vast majority of civilization.

The source also pointed out a nugget of spoiler-y goodness, saying, "As The Walking Dead series progresses, personalities shift under the stress of the impending 'zombie apocalypse.'" Whether or not fans should read into that line obviously remains to be seen, but definitely worth keeping tabs on.
