Explanation: Looking for the missing pieces of Walter's brain that hold the secrets of alterna-verse travel, scattered inside a bunch of crazy people, Thomas Jerome Newton takes to some impromptu brain-surgery.
Infringe-ing on Possible?: Haven't you ever seen Hannibal? You give people enough drugs, and nobody minds letting the old noodle get some fresh air.
Lincoln Lee's Burnface |
Appearance: "Olivia"
Explanation: After Sally Clark sacrifices herself in a covert assault on the alternate-universe by bursting into flames, the extensive burns apparently didn't cause much trouble for Fringe officer Lincoln Lee, who was back on his feet two episodes later with some handy regenerative nanite treatments, his burn-face steadily improving provided he doesnt' stray from the hyperbaric chamber for too long.
Infringe-ing on Possible?: Only Over There could walk around looking like Freddy Krueger without phasing anybody, and what's with the treatments only having a temporary effect?
This Guy Gets Killed By Butterflies |
Appearance: "The Dreamcape"
Explanation: A deadly psychotropic drug unknowingly administered to Massive Dynamic executive Mark Young caused him to actually hallucinate the deadly razor-sharp butterflies, the fear so real it actually caused cuts to manifest and drove him out a window.
Infringe-ing on Possible?: While it's true that the human body does sometimes physically manifest injuries otherwise imagined, this guy was still killed by butterflies.
This Lady Gets All Cancer-y |
Appearance: "Olivia. In The Lab. With The Revolver."
Explanation: Skin contact with former fellow Cortexiphan patient James Heath led to absorption of his rapid-onset cancer, which quickly overcomes the body with cancerous lesions.
Infringe-ing on Possible?: No way. Cortexiphan or no, we're not ready to a live in a world where un-protected sex can give you AIDS and cancer simultaneously.
Clint Howard Appears, Is Also Spock |
Appearance: "The Road Not Taken"
Explanation: Olivia and Peter take to investigating Emmanuel Grayson (Howard), who offers insight into a recent case of spontaneous compustion. Also, he claims be Spock, the son of Sarek and intergalactic pawn in the coming war between the Federation and time-travelling Romulans.
Infringe-ing on Possible?: This could very well happen. Clint Howard is, in fact insane.
