Any Supernatural fan knows that the Winchester boys and the angels on their shoulders are ramping up for an epic season six finale, and coming seventh, but that's not the only monster mash headed our way.
So while a dubbed version has been around for awhile, TVGuide finally conjures up our first real look at Supernatural: The Anime Series in its English dub, complete with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki!
Well, about as much Jensen as we're going to get, anyway. Remember folks, while Jared Padalecki (Sam) lends his voice to all 22 episodes of the DVD/Blu-Ray arriving in stores July 26th, Jensen Ackles (Dean) only voices two. Voice actor Andrew Farrar will take over the elder Winchester for the rest.
The anime series (from Madhouse Studios, also responsible for the coming Marvel Anime adaptations) focuses on the narrative of Supernatural's first two seasons, adapting certain episodes while adding original tales throughout designed to mesh with the continuity at large. The live-action boys will also introduce each episode, and take part in a host of extras including interviews with series creator Eric Kripke and anime directors Shigeyuki Miya and Atsuko Ishizuka.
