Even if I hadn't seen a second of the new Starz original series, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, I'd be sold on the new sword swingin' saga just from these luscious images alone. This series looks primed and ready to conquer and I, loyal television viewer, am ready to kneel before its greatness! If you saw the extended trailer we posted back in July in the midst of Comic-Con, I'm confident we can count you among Spartacus' loyal followers when the series premieres come Friday, January 22nd at 10pm. And so is Starz, as they just announced yesterday that Spartacus will get a second season before the series has even entered the ratings arena! Promising a colisseum full of sex and violence with sword and sandal genre vet Lucy Lawless in a leading role and hubby/former Xena and Hercules producer Rob Tapert at the helm, it should be some high quality sex and violence at that!
