Just a week after the news came out that Julia Stiles will join the cast of Dexter for ten episodes in the upcoming fifth season, another name has been added to the list of guest stars: Southland's Shawn Hatosy will appear in multiple episodes. Hatosy plays Detective Sammy Bryant on the TNT show and it appears that he's been slightly typecast, as rumor has it he'll be playing an FBI agent on Dexter. Fans of his work on Southland need not worry that Dexter will take him away from the TNT series; he's set to begin work on the third season as soon as he's finished shooting Dexter. The fifth season of Dexter is set to premiere in September 26th; Southland's third season begins in January.
