Sarah Wayne Callies Joins The Walking Dead

Sarah Wayne Callies, best known as Dr. Sara Tancredi in Prison Break, has been cast as Lori Grimes in AMC's TV adaptation of The Walking Dead.  She'll join previously-announced cast members Andrew Lincoln and Jon Bernthal in the series based on Robert Kirkman's graphic novels, which is set to premiere on AMC in October.  Shooting begins next month.  Callies should be quite familiar with the zombie subject matter, as her Prison Break character spent most of the third season deceased, her severed head stuff in a box, only to rejoin the land of the living in the fourth and final season when the show apparently offered her enough money to return.  Will Lori meet with the same fate as Sara?  If so, at least it'll make sense within the context of the show this time around.
