Noted thespian and dancer Patrick Swayze is returning to the small screen. According to this report from Reuters, Swayze will be playing an "unorthodox but effective FBI veteran" who "trains a new partner... in his hard-edged, psychologically clever style". The name of the new A&E show is The Beast, a fitting tribute to the uniquely overpowering talents of Swayze. The Beast will follow Swayze's "tough, darker" character, who is dogged by Internal Affairs investigations as he bends the rules trying to just get the job done.
We here at UGO are thrilled at this bit of news, as we have always felt Swayze to be among the most under-appreciated actors working today. Perhaps The Beast will finally open some eyes to his gifts.
