Mia Cross

Not all of the meanest TV girls are in it for the random cruelty. Some do bad things to get ahead in the world. Case in point: Mia Cross from Californication. This scheming high-schooler hatches a plan to sleep with novelist Hank Moody and then steals his book, blackmailing him into silence with the knowledge that she could destroy his entire life. Needless to say, she's never punished for her dirty deeds, and goes on to be a perpetual thorn in Hank's side for the duration.

Libby Chessler

You've got to be a seriously mean girl to go toe to toe with a teenage witch, so give props to Libby Chessler. Even though her arch-enemy Sabrina could literally rewrite reality with a wave of a wand, it never stopped Libby from acting totally dickish to her 24 hours a day. Rude, snobbish and utterly dismissive of anything that she deems below her, Libby bedeviled Sabrina for four solid seasons before being shipped off to boarding school and never seen again.

Sadie Saxton

You have to be a certain kind of biotch to pick on a girl who just tried to commit suicide, and Sadie Sexton from MTV's Awkward is that biotch. The heavyset girl is popular at school because her parents are rich, but she never gives anyone else an even break. Her many misdeeds are legendary, from mass-texting photos of other girls' breasts to the whole class to giving every popular kid in her grade pinkeye using dog crap as a disease vector, and she doesn't show any sign of slowing down.

Nellie Oleson

Just in case you somehow think that ladies behaving badly is a recent phenomenon, let's go back to the classic 1974 television series Little House On The Prairie. The Ingalls family was often harassed by the nasty Nellie Oleson, a curly-haired little girl who didn't have a nice bone in her entire body. Nellie was the original next-door neighbor from Hell, and she lied, cheated and stole from the poor Ingalls kids with zeal. Eventually she grew up, got married and moved to New York City. Lord knows what she got up to there.

Heather Chandler

One thing about mean girls is that they usually don't stop being mean when they grow up. Take Heather Chandler from NBC's Chuck. When she and Sarah Walker were in high school together, she was captain of the cheer squad and the arch-nemesis of our heroine. After graduation, she also went into the espionage game, signing on with Volkoff Industries to sell arms all over the world. When the pair meet up in adulthood, it's cat fight central and we love every minute of it.
