Boy, its been a long time since Blade has been in the news, eh? And who needs X-Men: First Class when we've got a whole new generation of anime to Marvel over?
In addition to the Iron Man, X-Men and Wolverine properties we've glimpsed at previous Comic-Cons, the Japanese TV Network Animax has given us our first look at Madhouse Studios' character designs for its upcoming Blade anime, which features the vampire hunter travelling to Japan to battle Deacon Frost, while making new allies that include a woman named Makoto, vampire hunter descendent Noah Van Helsing and his dog Razor.
Of course everything from the text to the narration is completely in Japanese, and I have no idea what they're saying, but if you understand the language, well...good for you.
While drawing some visual inspiration from the Wesley Snipes films (and based on the character's hair, the short-lived TV series as well), but follow its own continuity closer to that of the comics.
Blade marks the fourth anime from Madhouse studios, and while Japan will see its debut earlier than us, all four animes (including Blade) will come to G4 later this year. Check out the images and first-look teaser below!
