LOST Finale Gets Longer...and Longer

Stay tuned for next week, when we announce that the series finale will last the entire summer.

Okay, ABC.  I know you're sad to see Lost go before it's been on for at least four seasons too long and the ratings take a nosedive (see: NYPD Blue), but this is getting ridiculous.  Not only do we have the pilot episode (now "enhanced" with pop-ups) airing the day before the series finale on May 23rd, which will be bookended by a two-hour-long recap show and a special episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, but now the final episode itself is being expanded from two hours to two and a half.  For those of you keeping track, here's the finale night schedule -- until they tack on another hour to the last episode, that is:

7 - 9: Retrospective

9 - 11:30: Series Finale

11:30 - 12:05 am: Your non-LOST Local News

12:05 - 1:05: Jimmy Kimmel LOST special

What do you think?  Is five and half hours (seven and a half total for the weekend) too much, or do you still want more?  Are you hoping that by May 23rd, the final episode will have been expanded to 22 hours, thus giving Lost an extra season's worth of finale?  Comment below!
