Courtesy of Televisionary, we got our first glimpse today of the new Timothy Olyphant vehicle, Justified, on FX. I really don't know much about the show. For our purposes here today, neither do you. All you need to have watched is one of the single greatest television shows in the last decade - HBO's Deadwood.
On the prematurely canceled epic series about the founding of a mining town in the Black Hills of the Dakota territories following the civil war, Olyphant played Sherriff Seth Bullock. Bullock was one of the founding pillars of Deadwood, and was completely insane. Fearless and reckless, the man was a fascinating character study in the righteous personality types that hear the call of law enforcement.
I only bring this up, because after watching this clip for Lawman, I was almost disappointed in old Tim for going back to such an easily recognizable formula. Wear a cowboy hat, stare down guns, beat people up and generally act like a maniac. Rinse, lather, repeat. Don't believe me?
Lawman is set to premiere sometime in Spring 2010.
