SciFiWire caught up with James Kyson Lee (Ando) at Wondercon and the star said Heroes production would resume in June, and possibly as early as May. Lee also more or less confirmed that the widely panned season two story line was complete and that save for a few cliff hangers (who is dead? Nathan or Nikki?) the new 'volume,' titled "Villains" would pick up with a new storyline. "I know they're very excited about it," Lee said. "They had a lot of great ideas that they wanted to incorporate, and obviously our second season got cut short because of the strike, so now they're really happy that they're going to be able to play with some stuff."

The title would suggest we will be looking at a gaggle of folks similarly afflicted to the ones we have come to know and love, except these characters will have obviously decided to jog on the other side of the street. There has been practically no official word on what is going on with Heroes third season beyond the announcement a few weeks back that the series would definitely not be returning to tack any episodes onto its second season. So far, there hasn't been any talk of resurrecting Heroes: Origins either. the second season of Heroes saw an average of live viewers hovering at around 10m, with a notable few weeks dipping below that. Given the sophomore slump, it would be a surprising show of faith for NBC to proceed with the spin-off.
