Futurama's Best Zoidberg Moments

Freedom, freedom, freedom, oy! Proving that the good doctor can teach us all a lesson now and again, Zoidberg takes a stand for Earthican rights by taking a constitutionally-protected bite out of its flag. Sure, he also unleashed the fury of the Decapodian army, thereby enslaving humanity to prove a point about freedom, but it's always nice to see poor old Zoidberg putting one in the win column for a change. 

Poor Doctor Zoidberg did it all for the nookie, and we can't blame him.  As a member of a species who only mate once a lifetime, Zoidberg introduced the alience concept of love by caring for his dear Edna for reasons beyond mating.  And like most human courtships, it led to an arena-style battle to the death with Fry, an oceanic orgy of invertebrate sex, then death.  

Ol' Johnny may not have gotten the girl this time around, but it was enough to see him try rather than retreat into his usual sulk.

In a short, but perfect encapsulation of the Planet Express crew's disdain for Dr. Zoidberg, Hermes instantly throws Leela's damage to the roof of the building at the despondent Decapodian. It's just the kind of throwaway gag that makes Zoidberg loveable as he is, completely blamed for even the most abstract of accidents. Plus, it would help explain how little pay he recieves as a Doctor, being blamed for accidents left and right....

Finally freed from the shackles of poverty with Nixon's three hundred dollar tax return, Zoidberg shows us a tasty send-up of our high class lifestyles with his inability to understand the most basic of luxury purchases. 

Shiny pebbles adorning his mandibles? Bah! Frustrating sports like golf, whose equipment isn't even edible? Garbage foods like caviar and Goose liver? Paintings that aren't scratch and sniff? Bubkiss, I say! Fortunately, the good doctor finds the real wealth in his heart, sharing his tax rebate by providing a delicious turkey dog feast for his friends and fellow homeless. Aww.
