Futurama's Bender wrestles up some of the series biggest laughs through his unrelentingly selfish nature and infinite capacity to down booze, smoke cigars and ignore the welfare of his fellow meat bags. Yet even so, Bender’s greatness and best moments can’t be tarnished by his trademark lack of morality. We’d bite his shiny metal ass any day of the week, and there’s nothing weird about that at all.
Futurama will soon explore Bender’s greatness in even more detail with the upcoming episode “Overclockwise,” which sees the robot advanced to the point of near-omnipotence. Just as exciting is tonight’s new episode of Futurama “Cold Warriors,” which shows Fry incubated the long-lost germ for the common cold into the 31st century, long after its extinction! Of course the cold shouldn’t affect Bender as a mighty robot, but how might our favorite scheming mechanical man look to take advantage of the situation? Hoarding all the beer in the interest of preventing contamination? Purifying the air with the sweet smell of cigar smoke? Perhaps a quiet showing of robotic floozies for morale’s sake?
We've decided to weather the storm until “Overclockwise” by computing through eleven years and six seasons of the greatest episodes for Futurama's best Bender moments!
