After last week's "Sanctuary, Part One" Falling Skies continues the twist of humans working for Skitters with "Sancturary, Part Two," as the group sent to Clayton's stronghold realize the nature of his plans for them, and nary an alien is seen as the humans battle each other.
Meanwhile, Anne deals with the imminent birth of Sarah's baby, and works with Weaver to perform a dangerous procedure to get the baby out, all while the threat of Skitter attack still looms.
The second part of a two-part episode, "Sanctuary, Part Two" delivers the epic showdown among human and Skitter-aligned humans, and we've got the episode recap of everything you'll need to know for next week! Check it out:
- We open on Jimmy running forebodingly, only to reveal the action as a group-wide soccer game. Jimmy very clearly doesn't accept Ben given the spikes on his back. When she shows interest in Hal, Clayton's first lieutenant reminds her why the new batch of youngsters are there.
- Back at the high school, the group readies to move and Margaret cares for the very pregnant Sarah, until of course she goes into labor.
- Pope manages to escape his bindings, and resists killing Clayton's men, fleeing into the woods and finding our heroes' now dead escorts.
- During dinner, Lourdes discovers the backpack of a child she knew shouldnt be there, and after initial suspicions, Mike discovers what Clayton has been doing with children who arrive at the ranch. He feigns acceptance of Clayton's plans, then quickly gathers the children to leave in the middle of the night, holding off his fire when Clayton's men discover the escape. He manages to provide time for the kids to escape, but in doing so winds up dead by Clayton's hand.
- Realizing that something is wrong and that Clayton's information isn't adding up, he sets out to discover the truth. He encounters Ben, who went ahead to find help while the rest of the kids hide in an abandoned home.
- Sarah's labor worsens as Anne realizes that the baby is breached. Weaver however, having previous experience turning a breach baby externally volunteers his services.
- Clayton and his men track Hal and the kids to the house, and a tense stand-off ensues. They're briefly saved by the intervention of Pope, who himself ends up shot in the leg. Tom arrives on the scene, and surrenderst them all rather than risk any further death. When Tom and the boys are escorted back to Clayton's sanctuary, they quickly find the tables turned by Weaver and the rest of the Second Mass, and when Clayton attempts to draw a gun on Hal, Tom himself puts him down with a rifle shot.
- With the baby okay and Pope now back with the survivors of the Second Mass., the group holds a funeral for Mike. Creepily however, his son Rick purports to not understand why killing is in "their" nature, asserting that Ben should consider himself Skitter as well!
