***UPDATE***
The comic will NOT be available with the U.K. release. Fans are advised to order the U.S. version from Amazon.com if they'd like a copy of the comic.
However, just announced, those who pre-order Dollhouse Season 2 over at http://www.foxconnect.com/dollhouse-season-2-comic-con-blu-ray-widescreen.html will receive a free lithograph poster while supplies last. UPS Ground Shipping on these pre-orders will be free and you will receive a 10% discount on your order (for a limited time only). Just use the following code: "Echo", which is good now through August 15th, which will apply a 10% discount to your order, the SDCC litho, and free UPS ground shipping. Again, I would assume this offer is only good for the U.S. version.
***UPDATE***
We've taken your questions about the release to FOX. The DVD/BD will be packaged with a copy of "Epitaphs" regardless of where you pre-order from (SDCC, Amazon, etc). We're still waiting to hear back on whether or not the UK release will include the comic. Those who pre-order the set at SDCC will receive a litho created by Dark Horse for Comic-Con, which Mo and Jed will be on-hand to sign.
Why it's Felicia Day on the cover of a comic book! Fancy that! Here's a peak at the cover of the new limited edition Dollhouse comic book by Dark Horse Comics, which comes with the
season 2 DVD and Blu-ray, set for release on October 12th. The book, which is exclusive to the DVD/BD set, was written by Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen who will be doing a signing at Comic-Con on Friday, 7/23 11:00am to 12:00 noon. You can secure your copy of season two packaged with this limited edition comic starting on Preview Night (Weds) and running through Sunday at SDCC.
Here's the official synopsis of the book, titled "Epitaphs."
"Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen, joined by longtime Buffy the Vampire Slayer artist Cliff Richards, take us on an intricate trip through the precise moment when the Active technology went global, and how the protagonists from Epitaph One and Two narrowly avoided death, and worse.Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen wrote the Epitaph episodes of Dollhouse Seasons One and Two, and currently write for the Starz series Spartacus. This is their first work in comics. Artist Cliff Richards has drawn more Joss Whedon-related comics than any other artist, including issues of Buffy Season Eight."
