Sheesh, again Damon Lindelof? It was tense enough when he went after George R.R. Martin for his comments on the LOST finale, but now the famous showrunner has taken aim at another Hollywood icon.
Don't expect January Jones to ever work with LOST showrunner Damon Lindelof, now that he's gone on twitter's record to publically lambast the X-Men: First Class actress for her work as Emma Frost. On June 4th, Lindelof tweeted out his disdain for the performance, citing "Emma Frost's THREE mutant powers: Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting"
Lindelof remains somewhat well-known for his tense twitter feuds, cautiously joking about Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin's lengthy process in crafting fifth book A Dance With Dragons after the author stated in an interview his dislike for LOST's series finale. Damon at least appears to be aware of the commotion his comments cause, recently capping off this tweets with "I need to stop saying mean things on Twitter. #MORNINGAFTER."
Jones has herself been in the media lately for her demeanor, as comedian and Hangover II star Zach Galifianakis recently related an anecdote how the two were "very rude to each other" during a party. Apparently the actress asked him to leave her table after a brief conversation, to which Galifianakis retorted "January, you are an actress in a show and everybody’s going to forget about you in a few years, so f---ing be nice."
Most critics and reception for X-Men: First Class share the consensus that while the Mad Men star's portrayal of the White Queen Emma Frost comes across somewhat wooden, it suits the character herself. Personally, we barely even noticed her icy demeanor.
There are at least two superpowers here Damon Lindelof forgot about.
What say you? Was January Jones deserving of Damon Lindelof's twitter comments, or should the former LOST showrunner learn to express his thoughts a bit more tactfully? Give us your reactions to the film and thoughts on the new feud below!
