It's National Kissing Day, so let's keep the fireworks rolling by remembering the hottest of the hottest girl on girl kisses of television.

It’s National Kissing Day, and who among us doesn’t enjoy a good sloppy liplock with that special someone? You don’t? Well, you’re weird. TV certainly does, and there’s nothing like a good rating stunt of two girls kissing to get male attention and blood pumping.

And if it gets women’s attention... that’s just hot. Join us as we look back on some of the finer examples of TV’s girl/girl kisses.

  • Willow Rosenberg and Kennedy – Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Ah, Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Willow. We liked her relationship with Amber Benson more, but there’s nothing like her epic makeout with Kennedy in season seven’s “Touched.”
  • Brittany Pierce and Santana Lopez – Glee: Brittany and Santana throughout several episodes of Glee? We’ll never get tired of that.
  • Ling Woo and Ally McBeal – Ally McBeal: This was a big one, publicized everywhere the kiss between Lucy Liu and Calista Flockhart.
  • Lucy Spiller and Tina Harrod – Dirt: Of course, there was “The One with Rachel’s Big Kiss” from Friends, between both Jennifer Aniston and Winona Ryder, and Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow “just to see what all the fuss was about.” But that was nothing compared to Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox’s first on-screen kiss from Dirt...
  • Gretchen Berg and Claire Bennet – Heroes: Heroes was a terrible show with horrifically awkward writing, but the effort to slip in a lesbian relationship (with Madeline Zima, no less) was much appreciated, if too little, too late.
  • Dr. Remy Hadley and Spencer – House: If you’re going to put bisexual hottie Olivia Wilde on a TV show like House, she’s going to make out with a girl, like in season five’s “Lucky Thirteen.” It’s science. Not to mention, her relationship with Mischa Barton on The OC. Science, science, science.
  • Lois and Bonnie – Family Guy: Animation does it for cheap stunts usually, mostly because you don’t have to convince any actresses to do it! We’re looking at you, Family Guy’s Lois, Marge of The Simpsons, Francine of American Dad, and All of Drawn Together.
  • Tara Thornton and Naomi – True Blood: We’re all for Tara’s new lesbian relationship this season of True Blood, and the many gratuitous topless scenes it offers. Go America.
  • Roseanne and Sharon – Roseanne: And of course, we shant ignore that well-publicized scene from Roseanne’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” even if the idea of watching Roseanne Barr puts more bile in your mouth than National Kissing Day should saliva, but hey, this is America. Equality for all!
