It's no secret that beautiful women often barely stand a chance of surviving a horror movie. The Death of Beauty has always been a running theme in the genre, and that death often comes fast, furious and bloody. And the audience is usually very pleased.

Here we'll take a look at some of the most gorgeous women in the world of horror that just didn't stand a chance of making it to the closing credits, from the doomed women of the Wrong Turn trilogy to the ladies who should've stayed home in Turistas and The Hills Have Eyes to the demonic heartbreakers of Jennifer's Body and Carrie. Let us remember them fondly and hope their demises continue to inspire horror filmmakers to dispatch with their heroines in even more gruesomely imaginative ways... it's an art form, after all.

Ally Lane in Wrong Turn 3: Left For Dead

Ally Lane must be some kind of true authority in the third Wrong Turn movie, as she's one of the few characters to be given a last name. Ally's a deputy who unfortunately runs afoul of Three Finger, the only Wrong Turn mutant who returned for the third go-round. The barbed wire motif continues as our heroine Alex finds poor Ally partly skinned and wrapped in the stuff -- and still alive, begging for Alex to kill her, as the pain is too much to bear. Yeesh.

Carrie White in Carrie

Carrie White Burns in Hell. We don't know about the "hell" part, but you're damn right about the burning. After dispatching with most of her fellow high school students, Carrie returns home and works a little murderous telekinesis on her psychotically dominant mother. Carrie then proceeds to sit in the closet and let death fall around her as her house catches fire and collapses on itself. That's not the last we see of Carrie, though... her hand makes a cameo in a nightmare of one of her classmates who survived the onslaught at the prom. Carrie lives!
