The Creeper isn't quite done with his meal yet, and a bunch of teenagers stranded on a broken-down bus are looking mighty tasty.
Jeepers Creepers II does extremely well with its nifty Hitchcockian premise, a sort of Lifeboat reimagined as a Southern gothic horror tale. The film also deserves credit for putting the Creeper up front and center this time around, showing us more of the creature's impressive design, abilities and wicked sense of humor. The Creeper's ominous truck from the original film is missed, but the addition of Ray Wise as a crazed farmer out for coldblooded revenge is sweet indeed. Not as tense as the original film, and the characters aren't nearly as likable as the brother-sister duo of Justin Long and Gina Philips, but Jeepers II is nonetheless a rather satisfying dish.
