Minxie Hayes was one of several high school students en route home after a championship basketball game when their bus blew a tire, causing them to break down in the middle of both the night and nowhere. Murder and mayhem ensue after they discover that the tire was destroyed by a makeshift shuriken that belongs to the Creeper, a demon that awakens every 23 years to eat (and eat and eat) for 23 days. The Creeper targets the adult chaperones first and then goes after the kids, killing them in horrible ways and taking any respective body parts for itself as it sees fit. Luckily, Minxie has clairvoyant powers and finds out how to stop the thing from the ghost of Darry Jenner (who was killed in the original film). With the help of the revenge-minded Taggart men, Minxie succeeds in defeating the Creeper and all is well - at least for another 23 years.
