Our Favorite Sweet Dee Moments

Sweet Dee can wreak havoc in the City of Brotherly Love as only a sister can. Here are the moments where the only female member of The Gang really shines like the piece of sunny sunshine she is.

The only female member of The Gang, Sweet Dee is an ever-struggling would-be actress, hopeless alcoholic and neurotic ultra-mess. She's also a lovable lost soul who just needs to find the right guy... and, more importantly, herself. For now, though, her shenanigans on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are just as legendary and sociopathic as any that a mere man could conjure -- here are some of the sweetest Sweet Dee moments.

Jeans in a Gym

Dennis has never seen anyone wear jeans in a gym before, which makes Sweet Dee a radical pioneer when it comes to workout fashion. Dennis and Dee are inspired to get into shape and maintain a healthy lifestyle when they discover that they don't have health insurance... that is, until they actually get to the gym and realize that exercising is, well, kind of hard work.

Got the Moves

One of the stranger episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia features the Gang buying a boat, on which Frank grills catfish and plays Steve Winwood on the stereo. And one of the stranger images from the series has Sweet Dee imitating/shadow-dancing with a large green inflatable man that kind of looks like Gumby. She's got the moves, indeed.

Did It Not Go Through?

When Sweet Dee takes her girlfriends (including a very drunk Waitress) on a Sex in the City-style shopping spree, she soon discovers such consumerist adventures don't always work out they way they do on television (how meta!). Having a credit card with unlimited credit is the first step in making your fantasy a reality -- and if that isn't possible, then at least pick out shoes you can run in.

The Missing Headband

It's true -- camoflauged headbands are notoriously hard to find. That's kind of the whole point, right? Maybe if Sweet Dee had gotten the orange one instead of the one that matches her tank top, she wouldn't be so upset -- and she wouldn't have punched a hole in her own wall. No, no one's happy now, Deandra.

No, Mookie

Sweet Dee is full of random talents that often come to light at (rather appropriately) the most random times and places. For instance, who would've thought she could do such a spot-on impersonation of Rosie Perez in Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing? Take a gander.

(Episode 3.9, "Sweet Dee's Dating a Retarded Person")
