Sweet Dee can wreak havoc in the City of Brotherly Love as only a sister can. Here are the moments where the only female member of The Gang really shines like the piece of sunny sunshine she is.
The only female member of The Gang, Sweet Dee is an ever-struggling would-be actress, hopeless alcoholic and neurotic ultra-mess. She's also a lovable lost soul who just needs to find the right guy... and, more importantly, herself. For now, though, her shenanigans on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are just as legendary and sociopathic as any that a mere man could conjure -- here are some of the sweetest Sweet Dee moments.
Playing drunk is something not many actors know how to do well -- they tend to go too over-the-top or too subtle. But the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia gang knows how to do drunk perfectly, down to the slightest nuance and slur. Watch Dee as she suddenly notices she has a jar of urine in her hand: "Oh, shiii..." That's acting that Shakespeare would be proud of.
Charlie is funny and ultimately kind of pathetic when he loses his temper, but Sweet Dee can be downright scary when she's pushed to her limits -- and being hopped up on steroids only gives it that extra edge. Watch what happens when words are exchanged between two female gladiators in a gym, a place of potential violence in and of itself.
Sweet Dee so wants to do stand-up comedy, as her rough and tumble life has certainly left her with some darkly humorous stories to tell, but she suffers from immense stage fright -- a fear that manifests itself physically in the most disgusting way possible. This, apparently, is one of the least graphic examples of Dee's little problem. It's too bad -- we were kind of digging the riff she was grooving on.
Oh, Charlie... why in the world would you take some of Sweet Dee's sh**? Now you're both hopped up and full of 'roid rage, and let everyone in town beware -- especially the fool who protests when his car gets involved in this epic battle. Actually, thank God that guy intervened, otherwise Charlie and Dee might've torn each other to little pieces.
Sweet Dee isn't called "sweet" for nothing -- she's always ready with a compliment (well, not really, but whatever), even when she's trashed out of her mind. Calling someone a "big round wizard" might not be the sweetest thing to say, but it's nicer than the unending barrage of criticism coming from Mac and Frank.
