Sophie Bauer is a high school student who recently lost her father, a tragedy that has caused her to become something of a "problem child," prone to acting up and rebelling against her physically abusive stepfather. Sophie is sent away to a rehabilitation facility for teenagers known as Camp Serenity, located on a remote island in Fiji. There, Sophie and her fellow "campers" suffer various physical and psychological tortures, all in the name of "curing" them of their rebellious natures. Will Sophie be broken by the camp's punishments, or will the surprise appearance of her boyfriend Ben give her the will to survive - and possibly escape?
