Two men struggle to survive in the wilderness, fighting against the elements, themselves and a deadly Kodiak bear.
The Edge packs a wallop, a nail-biting tale of survival and sexual competition, with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin as a melancholy millionaire and the photographer who's sleeping with his trophy wife, respectively - two alpha males abandoned in a cruel world with nothing but their wits and a pocket knife. The script by David Mamet is one of his best, creating a sometimes unbearable sense of tension and suspense... and, of course, Bart the Bear steals the show as a bloodthirsty and truly terrifying grizzly out to make a meal out of the men. The Edge is a smart and compelling adventure film that'll make you love, respect and fear the Great Outdoors in equal amounts.
