Lynn Carter is the young wife of Doug Bukowski and mother of their baby daughter, Catherine. The three of them accompany Lynn's parents, Ethel and Bob, and Lynn's younger sister and brother, Brenda and Bobby, on a One Big Happy Family road trip from Cleveland, Ohio to San Diego, California to celebrate Lynn and Bob's silver wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, their trailer is sabotaged in the middle of the desert, and a bunch of vicious mutant freaks come out of the hills. Lynn is one of the victims of the initial nocturnal attack on the broken-down trailer - after being sexually assaulted by the mutant known as Lizard, she is shot point blank in the head by her attacker. However, her husband Doug survives to avenge her death - and manages to rescue the kidnapped baby Catherine in the end, as well.
