Dale Murphy is a retired military commander who now serves as host of the reality television series, Apocalypse: Ultimate Survivalist. He ends up putting his survival skills and military combat training to the ultimate test when he and the young cast and crew are attacked by mutant cannibals that dwell in the West Virginia mountains where filming is taking place. As Dale is played by the angry, tattooed Henry Rollins, you know he gets to kick some ass at least for a little while - he manages to shoot one freak with a shotgun and blow up another with a stick of dynamite before shuffling off this mortal coil.
