The two races continue their battle royale in a small Colorado town - with the deadly Predalien wrecking all sorts of hybrid havoc.
Because it's Aliens and Predators fighting - and this time it's rated R for all sorts of gooey nastiness. Sure, AVPR doesn't have much in terms of plot, well-developed human characters (who needs 'em, anyway?), logic or even decent lighting, but it's got all sorts of rough-and-tumble swagger to spare, complete with the truly terrifying Predalien taking center stage. The film also has one hell of a mean streak, finding rather cruel and gruesome ways to pick off the many human victims - the fate of one extremely unlucky pregnant woman is particularly disturbing. AVPR is little more than one big continuous fight scene, but with a title like Aliens vs Predator, what else should it be, really?
