Red Hood: Lost Days #1 (DC) – In preparation for the new DCU animated movie, Under the Red Hood, DC’s putting out another Judd Winick Red Hood title! Jason Todd has plagued Batman since his return from the grave, and now Judd’s unveiling more of his backstory in this six-issue series!
Justice Society of America #39 (DC) – The Justice Society’s alternate future tale of an escape from a Nazi prison camp has been the title’s best story in months, and this week it’s coming to an explosive conclusion! Mr. Terrific stages the great blow against the Fourth Reich—during the public execution of Batman!
Avengers Prime #1 (Marvel) – With the old band back together in the pages of Marvel’s The Avengers, three of the world’s greatest heroes try to put the last few years of death, war, and distrust behind them. Iron Man, Thor, and Steve Rogers reunite in this story by Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alan Davis.
Ethan's Pick of the Week: Chimichanga #2 (Albatross Exploding Funny Books) – I didn’t think a second issue of this book was coming out, but I’m glad that it is! See what happens with a circus girl (with mustache and beard!) introduces her monster friend Chimichanga to the rest of the circus folk! Eric Powell seems to be a comic creator who just has fun with everything he does, this book included.
