Say hello to the New Avengers, Darkwing Duck, the Black Cat, and Ethan's favorite character ever - The Mad Hatter! - this week in the Pull List!

Amazing Spider-Man Presents The Black Cat #1 (Marvel) - The Amanda Conner cover had me sold, but a Jen Van Meter heist tale starring the hottest thief in the Marvel Universe is what will make it sing. Sorry, Black Fox, you're not the hottest thief anymore.

New Avengers #1 (Marvel) - Avengers Assemble! For like the fourth time in three weeks! With superhero registration gone the way of the Bull Moose Party, Bendis is going to have a challenge making the renegade Avengers work as a series. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does it!

Fevre Dream #2 (Avatar) - The first issue of this book, where a gang of vampires commissions a riverboat for a pleasure cruise, was one hell of a dark book. You get the immediate action of the riverboat races, but the ravenous bloodsuckers are always behind the scenes. Highly recommended.

Darkwing Duck: The Duck Knight Returns #1 (BOOM! Studios) - How long have we waited for the return of Darkwing Duck? It feels like a million years. BOOM! Studios gives us the story of Darkwing's fall from grace and return to action, guest starring all the classic characters from the Disney cartoon!

Ethan's Pick of the Week:

Joker's Asylum II: The Mad Hatter (DC) - It's no secret that the Mad Hatter is my favorite comic character, let alone Batman villain, so now that he's getting his own one-shot, I'll consider my life complete. Hot Bill Sienkiewicz art and lots of madness make this a dream for Bat-fans. I expect I will force all visitors to my apartment to read this before entering.
