The phrase "It takes one to know one" has never been truer than in Claymore, the fantasy-styled story of a country terrorized by demons that can disguise themselves as humans. These yoma can only be killed by human-yoma hybrids called "Claymore," who are specially trained to detect the flesh-eating yoma and destroy them.

Clare, our "heroine," is a claymore who is sent out on missions to destroy yoma, although the populace is so terrified of her that she never gets much in the way of thanks. All in all, it's a pretty dark series that starts by exploring the human lives destroyed by yoma and eventually delves into how the claymore are made.
