If Japan has a court of rock royalty, Miyavi is definitely in the upper echelons. He started off with mega-group Due le Quartz, and even though he's since gone solo, he continues to gig with S.K.I.N., a superband formed of the most popular members of Japan's most popular bands.
The punk rocker is one of the country's hottest sellers, and this summer he's touring coast to coast in the U.S. The scanty 14 dates Miyavi will play in North America between June and July will require that you camp out on the tour's Ticketmaster page to snag seats, but it'll definitely be worth it. And every person should have a T-shirt in their closet somewhere that says "Neo Tokyo Samurai Black World Tour 2010." Seriously.
Check out his bilingual website, then head over to Ticketmaster and cross your fingers.
