One of our favorite artists is returning to the picture story world. Joe Madureira, the awesome fantasy artist behind Darksiders 1 and 2’s character and level design, is joining up with Marvel once more with the upcoming The Avending Spider-Man #1.
Zeb Wells will write and Steve Wacker will edit the new series, which Marvel describes as a “summer action movie of Spider-Man.”
The first three-issue arc will send Spider-Man and the Red Hulk underground to manhandle some Moloids who invade the New York City Marathon. If this is a taste of the wackiness we’re going to get, consider my subscription card filled.
The team-up based comic will ship this November. If you like things what look good, you need to jump on board when Joe Mad is involved.
