Probably the most notorious mail-in offer toy in the world of action figures, the Rocket Firing Boba Fett, who could be yours for the low, low price of four proofs of purchase from Kenner's Star Wars toys. Fett had recently been introduced in the Star Wars Christmas Special, and he was becoming one of the most popular characters in the Lucasverse. This was the first Boba Fett toy ever produced, but there was one thing wrong with it: it didn't fire rockets. Safety concerns had the firing mechanism removed, but there's a thriving market in bootleg prototypes and other knock-offs.
