Imagine walking into a bar looking to order an apple
martini, but instead you end up being served an Apple iPhone.
The gadget wizards over at Gizmodo.com claim to have possession of the Apple's
next-gen iPhone that was found in a bar in Redwood City, California disguised as
an iPhone 3GS. In an effort to sway the skeptics, Gizmodo took it apart and
pieced it back together, uncovering every nerdy nook and cranny of the rogue
hardware. What they discovered is rather convincing. They wrote, "Multiple
components that were clearly labeled APPLE. And, because the components
were fit extremely well and extremely conformed inside the case (obvious that
it was designed FOR this case), it was evident that it was not just a 3G or a
3GS transplanted into another body."
New features range from major improvements (improved
display, front-facing video chat camera) to minor adjustments (split buttons
for volume, aluminum bordering). Gizmodo also revealed hardware specs stating,
"The phone measures 4.50 by 2.31 by 0.37 inches. It weighs 140 grams. The 3GS
weighs 137 grams on a postal scale (and 135 on Apple's official measurements).
So, in comparison, it's 3 grams heavier." The new device's squared off sleek
design is noted as a welcome improvement over the rounded-off 3GS.
If this is indeed the next iPhone, then someone at Apple is
frantically patting their pockets and probably wishing they passed on that third
shot of tequila.
Apple Accidently Leaks Next iPhone on Barroom Floor
Gizmodo reportedly found Apple's next iPhone at a bar in Redwood City, California. Is it the real deal, or can it be chalked to gadget beer goggles?
