Best known as the Iggy Pop-esque front man for such bands as the Jesus Lizard and Scratch Acid, David Yow certainly left his mark on the alt-rock underground during the '80s and '90s (as evidenced by Kurt Cobain picking Scratch Acid's self-titled debut album as one of his all-time favs). And now, Yow is showing off his artistic skills.

From April 15th through May 7th, Yow will see his first overseas art exhibit take place, called Das Geheime Tagebuch ("The Secret Diary"), at Berlin's Neurotitan Gallery. In a press release, Mr. Yow offered a description of what to expect at the show. "[A] catalyst for a torrent of intriguing mixed media pieces that included photography, hair, insects, blood, toenails...and even paint."

After releasing a string of hard-hitting albums/single-word-titled albums from 1990 through 1998, the Jesus Lizard broke up in 1999. However, Yow and his Jesus Lizard pals reunited again for shows in 2009, before eventually going the way of the dodo once more. To check out some of Mr. Yow's art work, check out his official site.
